ABOUT SERVICING
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
Would you drive your car without an MOT?
With the expense of an automated entrance in mind, regular servicing is the best method to upkeep the performance and reliability of any electrical mechanical product. Each service follows a series of checks to ensure that all mechanical parts are in good working order and running smoothly. We finish up every service with a technicians report confirming good working order, advising on any worn parts to be replaced or alternatively any upgrades available to help bring your entrance up to the standard of BS EN 16005.
Peace of mind
Not only do scheduled services contribute towards a longer lifespan of your entrance, more importantly it is also a vital step to achieving a safer environment for the end user. Every service carried out with Midland Automatic is done by a skilled technician, certified by the ADSA.
Servicing also combines as a risk assessment, taking into account the safety functions of your automatic door alongside the environment that it is being used in.
BS EN 16005 - what is it?
This is a European-wide code of practice that was formed in 2012 to ensure that all power operated pedestrian doorsets installed after April 2013 meet specific requirements. From a safety point of view, they were put into place to help deal with hazardous situations and events relevant to automatic doors, whether used as intended or under reasonably foreseeable conditions of misuse.
Am I in need of a service?
Scheduled service intervals are a code of good practice, and are recommended to be carried out at least once, but in most cases twice annually.
